New Gelcoat
Six layers of polyester gelcoat rolled on, sanded flat from P40 to P2000 with a guide coat and polished to a mirror finish in four steps. The hull now shines like new.
After more than 50 years the old gelcoat was porous and badly weathered. We gave the hull a completely new gelcoat finish: 13 kg of polyester gelcoat, tinted with 20 % pure white color paste, rolled on in 6 layers. The surface was then sanded flat through eight grits from P40 to P2000 using a guide coat and polished to a mirror finish in four steps with the 3M Perfect-It Marine system.
