New Gelcoat
Six layers of polyester gelcoat rolled on, sanded flat from P40 to P2000 with a guide coat and polished to a mirror finish in four steps. The hull now shines like new.
Underwater Hull & Antifouling
The underwater hull needs special protection. Antifouling and osmosis protection are on the agenda.
Woodwork & Brass
The woodwork is the heart of the restoration. Mahogany is being refinished, and brass parts are being polished.
Superstructure & Galvanics
The superstructure had to come off, and all fittings were removed. Many parts were sent for galvanizing to restore them to their former glory.
Paint Removal Topside & Deck
One of the toughest jobs: Removing the old layers of paint from the topside and deck. Hours of sanding and stripping.
Purchase and Pickup
The purchase and pickup marked the beginning of this exciting project. After viewing the boat, it was clear: This is the one. Transport was a challenge, but with the right trailer and some patience, we brought it home safely.
